Experimental farm

The farm supports the experimental, research and training activities conducted by the Mach Foundation, but also has a production and processing function. All this while pursuing a model of sustainable agriculture based on agronomically rational and environmentally friendly knowledge and technological approaches.

The cultivated fields cover a total of about 120 hectares, 40 of which are devoted to fruit growing and 65 to viticulture, plus 65 hectares of forests located mainly around the San Michele all'Adige campus. Vineyards and orchards are spread over a dozen farm bodies scattered in the most representative agricultural areas of Trentino.

The wine production represents the entire provincial viticultural landscape, enhancing a portion of the grapes grown. It produces and markets annually about 250,000 bottles of wine, 25,000 bottles of classic method sparkling wine and 2,500 bottles of grappa and spirits.
